Shri Sanjeev Kishore, General Manager, SWR stated that Highest priority has been accorded to safety in train operations along with an extraordinary growth in the development of infrastructure & connectivity. In the last 3 years SWR has commissioned more than 200 KM of New Line + Doubling in each year, consistently.
- Originating freight loading has exceeded 46.7 million tonnes in FY 2022-23, which is the highest ever.
- SWR recorded Gross revenue of Rs. 8071 crores which is also the highest ever, since the inception of SWR.
- In FY, 2022-23 874 RKM of tracks were electrified, which is the highest electrification of SWR, in a single year.
Shri Sanjeev Kishore, General Manager, SWR hoisted the tri colour at Rail Soudha, Hubballi the Head Quarters Office of South Western Railway, today on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day. He said that SWR has been a major driving force of socio-economic development of this region.
Recounting some of the salient achievements, he expressed his happiness that SWR has achieved first place among all zonal railways in terms of Key Performance Indices (KPI) in 2022-23. SWR has also been adjudged as best performing railway zone during ‘Swachchta Pakhwara 2022’ by Ministry of Railways.
He stated that during the period April to July 2023 (i.e., first quarter of this financial year 2023-24), SWR has registered gross originating revenue of Rs. 2760 crore, which is 12% more than that of the corresponding period of last year. The originating freight loading has exceeded 46.7 million Tonnes in FY 2022-23, which is the highest ever. In FY 2022-23, SWR has recorded Gross Revenue of Rs. 8071 cores which is also the highest ever, since the inception of SWR. The best ever passenger revenue per month (Rs. 266 crore) has been registered in July, 2023.
He mentioned that SWR accords highest priority to safety in train operations. In the period January to July, 2023, 21 Level crossing Gates have been closed, 06 Road over Bridges, and 16 road Under Bridges have been completed. In the same period, 26 bridges have been rehabilitated.
Shri. Kishore informed that SWR has taken various initiatives towards environmental conservation and sustainability. In 2023, solar panels of 442 kWp capacity have been installed, elevating the total capacity of the zone to 5348 kWp. This has resulted in a saving of approx. Rs. 2 crores per annum, on electricity charges. During January to June 2023, incorporation of HOG system in 56 trains has resulted in saving of 53 lakh litres of HSD worth Rs. 42 crores.
Meeting the demands of passengers, during January to July, 2023, 212 festival / holiday special trains were run, 1479 extra coaches augmented and 20 trains speeded up duly saving 620 minutes of journey time. New Yatri Seva Kendra has been commissioned at KSR Bengaluru station in January, 2023.
General Manager appreciated the work force of entire SWR for their committed work. He expressed gratitude to office bearers of recognized Unions, Associations and SWR Women’s Welfare Organization, for their support in various initiatives.
After the address of Chief Guest, a colorful cultural programme was performed by children of SWRWWO High School.
Shri U. Subba Rao, Additional General Manager, Principal Heads of Departments of South Western Railway, senior officers and staffs were present.
Later, led by Dr Vandana Srivastava, President, SWR Women Welfare Organisation (SWR-WWO) donated two RO+UV water purifiers, rechargeable torches, and digital weighing machines to Central Hospital Hubballi. Fruits were distributed to patients, too.
Further, at SWR-WWO English Medium School, Gadag Road, Hubballi, Dr Vandana Srivastava inaugurated newly constructed ‘Annexe Building’. This building, constructed at a cost of Rs. 44 lakhs, consists of new Principal Chamber, Science Lab and an additional classroom. General Manager Shri Sanjeev Kishore, Principal Officers of SWR were present.
- ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಅಸಾಧಾರಣ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ರೈಲು ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗಳ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಆದ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದೆ. ಕಳೆದ ಮೂರು ಹಣಕಾಸು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆಯು ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ 200 ಕಿ. ಮೀ. ಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹೊಸ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಮತ್ತು ಜೋಡಿ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಶ್ರೀ ಸಂಜೀವ್ ಕಿಶೋರ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
- 2022-23ರ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ 46.7 ಮಿಲಿಯನ್ ಟನ್‌ ಮೂಲ ಸರಕು ಲೋಡಿಂಗ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ಇದು ಇದುವರೆಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಧಿಕ ಲೋಡಿಂಗ್ ಆಗಿದೆ.
- ಒಟ್ಟು 8,071 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಆದಾಯ ಗಳಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಇದು ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದಾಗಿನಿಂದ ಇದುವರೆಗಿನ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಆದಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
- 2022-23ರ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ 874 ಕಿ.ಮೀ ಟ್ರ್ಯಾಕ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯುದ್ದೀಕರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ಒಂದೇ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತೀ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿದ್ಯುದ್ದೀಕರಣ ದಾಖಲೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ ವಲಯದ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಗಳವಾರ 77ನೇ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸಂಜೀವ್ ಕಿಶೋರ್ ಅವರು, ತ್ರಿವರ್ಣ ಧ್ವಜವನ್ನು ಹಾರಿಸಿ, ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆಯು ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ-ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪ್ರೇರಕ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
2022-23ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಷಮತೆ ಸೂಚ್ಯಂಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ (ಕೆಪಿಐ) ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ವಲಯಗಳ ಪೈಕಿ ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ವಲಯವು ಮೊದಲ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿದೆ. ‘ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತಾ ಪಖ್ವಾಡ-2022′ ರ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ವಲಯದ್ಯಾದಂತ ಕೈಗೊಂಡ ಹಲವಾರು ಉಪಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಸಚಿವಾಲಯವು ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆಯನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಷಮತೆಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ವಲಯ ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆಯು 2023ರ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ ನಿಂದ ಜುಲೈ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟು ಮೂಲ ಆದಾಯವು 2,760 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಇದು ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷದ ಇದೇ ಅವಧಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿದರೆ ಶೇ 12 ರಷ್ಟು ಅಧಿಕವಾಗಿದೆ. 2022-23ರ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ 46.7 ಮಿಲಿಯನ್ ಟನ್‌ ಮೂಲ ಸರಕು ಲೋಡಿಂಗ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ಇದು ಇದುವರೆಗಿನ ಅತ್ಯಧಿಕ ಸರಕು ಲೋಡಿಂಗ್ ಆಗಿದೆ. 2022-23ರ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆವು 8,071 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳ ಒಟ್ಟು ಆದಾಯವನ್ನು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದೆ. ಇದು ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ವಲಯ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದಾಗಿನಿಂದ ಇದುವರೆಗಿನ ಅತ್ಯಧಿಕ ಆದಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಜುಲೈ 2023ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರಿಂದ ರೂ. 266 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಆದಾಯವನ್ನು(ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೆ) ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆಯು ರೈಲು ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗಳ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಮಹತ್ವ ನೀಡಿದೆ. 2023ರ ಜನವರಿಯಿಂದ ಜುಲೈ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 21 ಲೆವೆಲ್ ಕ್ರಾಸಿಂಗ್ ಗೇಟ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಲಾಗಿದೆ. 06 ರಸ್ತೆ ಮೇಲ್ಸೇತುವೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು 16 ರಸ್ತೆ ಕೆಳ ಸೇತುವೆಗಳು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡಿವೆ. ಇದೇ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 26 ಸೇತುವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪುನಶ್ಚೇತನಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಪರಿಸರ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಸ್ಥಿರತೆಗಾಗಿ ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಉಪಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. 2023ರಲ್ಲಿ, 442 ಕಿಲೋವ್ಯಾಟ್ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯದ ಸೌರ ಫಲಕಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದು ವಲಯದ ಒಟ್ಟು ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು 5,348 ಕಿಲೋವ್ಯಾಟ್‌ಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಶುಲ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಅಂದಾಜು 2 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಉಳಿತಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ. 2023ರ ಜನವರಿಯಿಂದ ಜೂನ್ ವರೆಗೆ 56 ರೈಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎಚ್‌ಒಜಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ 42 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ.ಗಳ ಮೌಲ್ಯದ 53 ಲಕ್ಷ ಲೀಟರ್ ಎಚ್.ಎಸ್.ಡಿ ಇಂಧನವು ಉಳಿತಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸಲು 2023ರ ಜನವರಿಯಿಂದ ಜುಲೈ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಹಬ್ಬ- ರಜಾದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 212 ರೈಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. 1,479 ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಬೋಗಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. 20 ರೈಲುಗಳ ವೇಗವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದು ಸುಮಾರು 620 ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದ ಸಮಯವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ 2023ರ ಜನವರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕ್ರಾಂತಿವೀರ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಯಾತ್ರಿ ಸೇವಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಸಮರ್ಪಿತ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅಭಿನಂಧನೆ, ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆಯನ್ನು ಉನ್ನತ ಮಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯಲು ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡಿದ ಮಾನ್ಯತೆ ಪಡೆದ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಘಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕರು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ತದನಂತರ SWRWWO ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಂದ ವಿವಿಧ ವರ್ಣರಂಜಿತ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ನಡೆದವು.
ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆಯ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಯು.ಸುಬ್ಬರಾವ್, ವಿವಿಧ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರು, ಹಿರಿಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ವರ್ಗದವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆಯ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ(SWRWWO) ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಡಾ. ವಂದನಾ ಶ್ರೀವಾಸ್ತವ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ, ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಣ್ಣು-ಹಂಪಲ ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ತದನಂತರ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಎರಡು ಶುದ್ದ ನೀರಿನ ಘಟಕ(RO-UV ವಾಟರ್ ಪ್ಯೂರಿಫೈಯರ್), ರೀಚಾರ್ಜ್ ಮಾಡುವ ಬ್ಯಾಟರಿ, ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ತೂಕದ ಯಂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿಯ SWRWWO ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 44 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳ ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾದ ಅನೆಕ್ಸ್ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಕಟ್ಟಡದಲ್ಲಿ ನೂತನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರ ಕೊಠಡಿ, ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಾಲಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಕ್ಲಾಸ್ ರೂಮ್ ಇದ್ದು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟ ಸುಧಾರಿಸಲು ಪೂರಕವಾಗಲಿದೆ. ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸಂಜೀವ್ ಕಿಶೋರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಅನೀಶ್ ಹೆಗಡೆ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ನೈರುತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ.
