ಇಎನ್ಎಲ್ ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ: ಧಾರವಾಡ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ಮುಂಬರುವ 2024ರ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಂದಗೋಳ ಮಾಜಿ ಶಾಸಕ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನ ಅಕ್ಕಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮಾಜಿ ಸಿಎಂ ಜಗದೀಶ ಶೆಟ್ಟರಗೆ ಗದಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೇಶ್ವರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹತ್ತಿರವಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಮುಕ್ತಿಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿನಂತಿಸಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು.
ಮಾಜಿ ಶಾಸಕ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನ ಅಕ್ಕಿಯವರು 1987ರಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಪಂ ಚೇರಮನ್ ಆಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮತ್ತು 1987ರಲ್ಲಿ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪಂಚಾಯತ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿ, ನಂತರ 1994 ಮತ್ತು 2004 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಂದಗೋಳ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಿಂದ ಎರಡು ಬಾರಿ ಶಾಸಕರಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. 1994 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ನಿಗಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಹಾಗೂ ಅನೇಕ ಸಹಕಾರಿ ಸಂಘಗಳ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾಗಿ, ಲೈನ್ಸ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ, ರಾಜ್ಯ ಜನತಾ ದಳದ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
2020 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷ ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಗೊಂಡು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತನಾಗಿ ಮೇಕೆದಾಟು ಹೋರಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಹಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ನಾಯಕ ರಾಹುಲ ಗಾಂಧಿಯವರ ಭಾರತ ಜೋಡೋ ಯಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದು ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಸಭೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಪಕ್ಷ ಸಂಘಟನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಿಂದೆ ನಡೆದ ಕುಂದಗೋಳ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಉಪ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯನ್ನು ಗೆಲ್ಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಕಳೆದ ಸಾರ್ವತ್ರಿಕ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸಲು ಪಕ್ಷದ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಮಾಜಿ ಶಾಸಕಿ ಕುಸುಮಾವತಿ ಶಿವಳ್ಳಿಯವರಿಗೆ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ಸಿಕ್ಕರೂ ಬೇಸರಗೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕವಾಗಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಗೆಲುವಿಗೆ ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಸದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷವನ್ನು ಬಲಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಲಿಂಗಾಯತ ಸಮಾಜದ ಪ್ರಭಾವಿ ಮುಖಂಡರಿದ್ದು ಹಾಗೂ ಉಳಿದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಮಾಜದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಭಾಂದವ್ಯ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು, ಇವರು ಸರಳ ಸಜ್ಜನ ಶಾಂತ ಸ್ವಭಾವದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಧಾರವಾಡ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಲಿಂಗಾಯತ ಸಮಾಜ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ಲಿಂಗಾಯತ ಸಮಾಜದವರು ಮತ್ತು ಇತರೇ ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಮಾಜದವರೂ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನ ಅಕ್ಕಿಯವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜಾಸ್ತಿ ಒಲವು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು, 2024 ರ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ್ದೇ ಆದರೆ ಗೆಲುವು ನಿಶ್ಚಿತ ಎಂದು ಧಾರವಾಡ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ಮಾಜಿ ಸಿಎಂ ಜಗದೀಶ ಶೆಟ್ಟರ್ ವಿನಂತಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಜಗದೀಶ ಉಪ್ಪಿನ, ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ತಾಲೂಕಾ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಗೀತಾ ಕೋಟಿಗೌಡ್ರು, ವಿರೂಪಾಕ್ಷಪ್ಪ ಹಂಚಿನಾಳ ನಿಂಗಪ್ಪ ಹಳ್ಳಿಕೇರಿ ಕಮತರ ವಕೀಲ್ರು, ಫಕ್ಕೀರೇಶ ಕರಿಮಲ್ಲಣ್ಣವರ. ಹಾಗೂ ಶಿಗ್ಗಾವ ಬ್ಲಾಕ್ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಶಂಭುಲಿಂಗಪ್ಪ ಆಜೂರು, ಶಿಗ್ಗಾವ್ ಎಸ್.ಟಿ ಘಟಕದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಅಶೋಕ್ ಓಲೆಕಾರ್ ಶಿಗ್ಗಾವ್ ತಾಲೂಕಾ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ರುದ್ರೇಶ್ ಗುಡಗೇರಿ, ವೀರನಗೌಡ ಕೋಟೆಗೌಡ, ಮಾಲತೇಶಗೌಡ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
ENL Hubli: Congress party activists from Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency have requested former CM Jagadish Shettar to make Kundagola former MLA Mallikarjuna Akki as the Congress party candidate in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Former MLA Mallikarjuna Akki worked as TP Chairman in 1987. And was elected as Dharwad ZP Member in 1987, then MLA twice from Kundagola Constituency in 1994 and 2004. In 1994, he was the Chairman of Karnataka State Forest Development Corporation. And he has done many social works as director of many cooperative societies, president of Lions Club, vice president of state JDS.
In 2020, he joined the Congress party and participated in the Mekedatu struggle as an ordinary worker and participated in Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. Participated in every meeting of the Congress party and organized the party. He was a party ticket aspirant to contest in the last general assembly election after winning the Congress party candidate in the Kundagola assembly constituency by-election. Even though former MLA Kusumavathy Shivalli got the ticket from he did not get upset and honestly worked hard for the victory of the Congress party candidate. At present, he is engaged in public every day to strengthen the Congress party in Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency.
An influential leader of the Lingayat community and having good relations with the rest of the community, he is a simple gentleman with a calm nature. The Lingayat community of Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency is large and the Lingayat community and all other communities are very fond of Mallikarjuna Akki, Congress workers of Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency have requested that if they have announced as the candidate of the Congress party for the 2024 Lok Sabha constituency, but the victory is certain, has requested to former CM Jagadish Shettar.
