ENL DESK: The world famous Puri Jagannath Rath Yatra was successfully completed on Tuesday. But 50+ people were injured in the stampede due to the large number of devotees. During the yatra, many people fell down in the clash between the devotees while pulling the chariot of Balabhadra (Balarama) from inside the temple. Several people trampled on them. The rescue personnel who were there then dispersed the people and admitted the injured to the hospital

ಇಎನ್ಎಲ್ ಡೆಸ್ಕ್: ವಿಶ್ವವಿಖ್ಯಾತ ಪುರಿ ಜಗನ್ನಾಥ ರಥಯಾತ್ರೆ ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನೆರವೇರಿತು. ಆದರೆ ಭಕ್ತರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ನೂಕುನುಗ್ಗಲು ಉಂಟಾದ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಕಾಲ್ತುಳಿತದಲ್ಲಿ 50+ ಮಂದಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.ಯಾತ್ರೆ ವೇಳೆ ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ದೇಗುಲದ ಒಳಗಿನಿಂದ ಬಲಭದ್ರನ (ಬಲರಾಮ) ರಥ ಎಳೆಯುವ ವೇಳೆ ಭಕ್ತರ ನಡುವೆ ಉಂಟಾದ ಘರ್ಷಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವರು ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಮಂದಿ ತುಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು. ಆಗ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ, ಜನರನ್ನು ಚದುರಿಸಿ ಗಾಯಾಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
